The word aster originally translates from the Greek word meaning star, typically depicted from the star shaped petals they possess. Asters are a member of the Daisy wildflower family and are most commonly found in shades of pink and purple and have alternate meanings from wisdom to love. Depicted here in delicate shades of pink set away from a mirage of colourful inky bleeds. 

 

This is an original Bloom and Belle painting created using Dr p.h Martin watercolour inks and Windsor and Newton white gouache, onto 300gsm cold pressed artist quality watercolour paper.
